Last Sunday I headed to the Levitt Pavilion in Pasadena once again, this time to check out the Christian Scott quintet. I was able to talk with Scott after the show — I had a wonderful time backstage getting to know him and the band. (drums: Eric Doob, keyboards: Milton Fletcher, bass: Kristopher Funn, guitar: Matt Stevens)
And I also bumped into the fantastic Shirley Jahad of 89.3 KPCC, who also serves on the board of directors at the Pavilion.
